  • Abstract
    Purpoe To analyze common pathogen of fungal keratiti and reult of antifungal drug enitivity tet in handong Province, China and provide guidance for appropriate choice of antifungal drug in clinic. Deign Retropective, noncomparative tudy. Method The pathogen iolated from 674 fungal keratiti patient between January 1, 2001 and December 31, 2006 were cultured and identified in handong Eye Intitute, of which ome common train were teted for enitivity to antifungal drug. Reult Fungi were poitively cultured in 549 (81.5%) patient, in which the dominating pathogen wa genu Fuarium (77.6%), with F. olani (37.3%), F. moniliforme (30.0%), and F. oxyporum (27.9%) being common pecie; Fuarium wa motly enitive to natamycin, next to amphotericin B, and then to terbinafin. The econd common pathogen wa genu Apergillu (10.8%), in which the main pecie were A. flavu (49.2%) and A. fumigatu (35.6%); Apergillu wa motly enitive to natamycin, next to terbinafin, and then to amphotericin B. Relatively, both Fuarium and Apergillu were inenitive to ketoconazole, miconazole, itraconazole, fluconazole, and fluorocytoine. Concluion Fuarium i the mot common pathogen of fungal keratiti, followed by Apergillu, in handong Province, China. Natamycin i till the firt choice in the treatment of hyphomycetic keratiti. Fuarium and Apergillu are alo enitive to amphotericin B and terbinafin. Early diagnoi and treatment are vital to good prognoi in the treatment of fungal keratiti.
