Iran and the Look to the East Policy

This book is among the few works in recent years which has tried to explain and analyze, in a consistent, reasoned and scholarly manner, one of the key foreign policy initiatives of the Iranian government during the first term of Mr Ahmadinejadʹs administration. What was advanced by Iran as a "Look to the East" policy after Ahmadinejad assumed office in 2005 was essentially a political decision - especially with a strong rhetorical flavor - in the context of the country’s overall foreign policy, and in particular, further unfolding challenges in dealing with the West.
