Abstract
Ranking fuzzy numbers plays an very important role in linguistic decision making and some other fuzzy application systems. Many methods have been proposed to deal with ranking fuzzy numbers. The approach is illustrated by numerical examples, showing that it overcomes the shortcoming existing fuzzy ranking approaches, especially when it is difficult to use other methods to solve ranking fuzzy problems
