Abstract
A high-voltage photo-rechargeable capacitor (photocapacitor) of three-electrode configuration, comprising a dyesensitized mesoporous TiO2 electrode, two carbon-coated electrodes, and two liquid electrolytes, attained a charge-state voltage of 0.8 V and high energy density per area of 47 (mu)W h cm^-2 which is five times larger than the previous twoelectrode photocapacitor.
