Trends in economic activity through synthetic activity indicators

The analysis of economic trends has been a subject of study in the worldʹs main economies. The study of a particular countryʹs economic development sets out from the need to base the analysis on statistical/econometric models allowing economic monitoring to be objectified. The results achieved in any one country or regions are promptly used to establish the trends therein and for comparison with the national or international outlook. This paper analyzes recent trends in the Spanish economy by means of synthetic indicators.
