An analysis of anger management in terms of attachment styles

The purpose of this study was to investigate anger mangement with respect to attachment styles. The participants were 445 (229 females and 216 males, between 16 - 18 years old) adolescents. Pearson product-moment correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis were used. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a positive relationship between secure attachment style and trait anger, anger in and anger control. There was a statistically significant positive relationship between preoccuped attachment styles and trait anger, anger in and anger-out. There was also a statistically significant positive relationship between fearful attachment style and trait anger, anger in.
