  • Abstract
    ABSTRACT: Yield parameter is mainly dependent on the amount and distribution of rainfall.In this research, rainfall is derived from meteorological satellite data. These data are available in different times and geographical scales. Meteorological stations in Iran and specifically in desert and semi-desert areas are much of dispersion. It creates problems to know the amount of rainfall in the regions without meteorological station for agriculture purposes. Therefore it is necessary to use remote sensing rainfall data. In this study, the data of cumulative rainfall amounts in 2004 were obtained from the NASAʹs Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite for the entire IRAN. Then we have used a number of meteorological stations selected to evaluate the accuracy of the TRMM rainfall data. The results of this study show that the absolute error of satellite rainfall is 78 mm.
