The Global Dimension of a q-Skew Polynomial Ring

A q-skew polynomial ring is a “mixed case” skew polynomial ring in which the defining automorphism and derivation commute up to a scalar multiple. This paper establishes criteria on the maximal ideals of a commutative noetherian ring with finite global dimension which determine the global dimension of a q-skew polynomial ring extension.
