Automorphisms of p-Groups Given as Cyclic-by-Elementary Abelian Central Extensions

We determine the structure of Aut G and its relation to symplectic groups when G is a non-abelian p-group given by a central extension of the form 1 → Zp → G → Zp × ••• × Zp → 1.
