On the Durfee size of Kronecker products of characters of the symmetric group and its double covers

We investigate Kronecker products of characters for Sn and spin products for the double covers . We give bounds on the Durfee size of these products and provide information on the existence of special constituents. Also, all products of Durfee size at most 2 are explicitly described.
