On the Existence of Modules Which Are neither Preprojectives nor Preinjectives Original Research Article

Let A be a finite-dimensional algebra over an infinite perfect field. Suppose that each indecomposable A-module is either a preprojective or a preinjective in the sense defined by Auslander and Smalø. It is proved here that under these hypotheses A is of finite representation type.
