The Length of Chains in Odd Characteristic Lie Type Groups Original Research Article

In this work we investigate finite groups of Lie type in which no subgroup chain of greatest length contains a parabolic subgroup. For Lie type groups of odd characteristic p, p ≤ 29, we determine a complete list of such groups.
