Abstract
We consider the known finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras of characteristic p > 3 and determine all finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 7 admitting a nonsingular derivation. We also show that the image/(pn − 1)image-graded simple Lie algebras which admit a nonsingular derivation must be of Hamiltonian type.
