Arithmetically Defined Representations of Groups of TypeSL(2, q)

We consider a groupGlying between the special and the general linear group of order 2 over the finite field q. A representation which arises from a natural action ofGon a quotient graph of the Bruhat–Tits tree ofGL(2, q((π))) is described and its irreducible components are determined.
