In God we Trust; All Others Must have Data Paying Tribute to Dr. Morris I. Stein

On May 6, 2006, the field of creativity lost one of its most treasured living legends. Dr. Morris I. Stein was a dear friend and mentor to many in our field. With decades of important contributions, his work had enormous impact in many areas, from his initial work with the OSS Assessment Program after World War II to the instruments he developed in his industrial research to his later work on the role of intermediaries in the creative process. However, it is the lasting impact of his championing of quality research, his great skill as a teacher, and his special ability to connect people globally that we will remember most
