A New Iterative Method with Quartic Convergence for Solving Nonlinear Equations

In this paper, a new iterative method with quartic convergence for solving nonlinear equations is presented by using Taylorʹs series expansion. Several numerical examples are given to illustrate the efficiency and performance of the presented method. An important property of the new method is that it is often convergent from both sides of the root whereas the other well known methods are often convergent from one side only.
