Abstract
In this paper we use the homotopy analysis method (HAM) to solve the problem of natural convection flow past a vertical plate embedded in a saturated porous medium in the presence of radiation. An explicit analytical solution of the governing nonlinear differential equations is obtained. The HAM results are compared with numerical results from Chebyshev spectral collocation method to illustrate its efficiency and reliability. A new method of accelerating the convergence of the HAM approach is also proposed.
