Abstract
The classification for the aquatic environment is based on the intrinsic properties, namely the ecotoxicity endpoints on three aquatic species and on the endpoints related to bioaccumulation and degradation. This study defined clearly the probability of error of classification based on an incomplete file (lack of one ecotoxicity endpoint and particularly the algae endpoint absent before the 7th amendment) compared to the classification with a complete file (base-set). This study demonstrated also that the four endpoints undoubtedly do not have the same weight with respect to the final classification.
