Abstract
Localization of compensation points of phytoplankton photosynthesis is simulated within cross-section of vertical circular eddies in the mixed water surface layer. The dynamic behaviour of net photosynthesis is considered. The euphotic zone may reveal complex structure and diminishes or disappear with the rotation. The area within which phytoplankton biomass growth during the circulation may depend on the speed of the rotation. The results are linked with the static compensation depth.
