Takayasuʹs arteritis presenting with focal periostitis affecting two limbs

Takayasuʹs arteritis (TA) is a vasculitis of large and medium sized arteries. Involvement of bone in TA is very rare. We report a case of young woman who presented with multiple painful bone lesions which were identified as periostitis with new bone formation associated with TA. Our case is unique in that bony involvement in TA could occur independent of vascular stenosis.
