The coinduced functor for infinite dimensional Hopf algebras Original Research Article

Let H be a Hopf algebra, and A an H-comodule algebra. It is well known that the functor sending a relative (A, H)-module to its module of coinvariants has a left adjoint, the induction functor. If H is a cosemisimple Hopf algebra over a field k, then we show that the coinvariant functor also has a right adjoint. Applications of this coinduction functor are given.
