Abstract
If you stand very close to an impressionistic masterpiece, it is hard to distinguish much more than an apparently random collection of dots. The bigger the picture, the less you actually can tell from a small, focused perspective. As you step back from the painting, patterns in the dots begin to emerge. When you reach the right distance, the entire image becomes clear—complex in its detail yet obvious and beautiful as a whole.
