Abstract
There are 35 species and subspecies of fish and two lamprey species in the Adriatic catchment of Slovenia. Five have been introduced and five transplanted. None of the regionally endemic fishes nor the lampreys live exclusively in Solvenia. Of these, Salmo Marmoratus, and Lethenteron zanandreai are threatened while Chondrosoma genei became extinct after the introduction of Chondrostoma nasus nasus into the area around 1960.
