Abstract
Usinginflationforecastdatafor11ITadoptioncountries,ITadoptionisfoundto
promoteconvergenceinforecasterrors,suggestingthatitenhancestransparency.This
result,whichissubjectedtoseveralrobustnesschecksandfoundtoberobust,supports
MorrisandShin’s(2002) contentionthatbetterpublicinformationismostbeneficialfor
forecasterswithbadprivateinformation.However,itdoesnotsupporttheirhypothesis
