Abstract
During recent years, many readout integrated circuits for CdZnTe (CZT) radiation detectors have been studied particularly for use on pixellated detectors in imaging applications. The fundamental challenge is to keep noise performance similar to discrete preamplifiers, even with lower power. This paper presents an experimental evaluation of CMOS integrated charge sensitive preamplifiers intended for CZT radiation detectors using a comparison with discrete preamplifiers.
