Evaluation back-of-the-book indexes of Persian books with subject of microbiology in central library of Islamic Azad University, Lahijan branch (Iran) based on indexing international standards ISO 999

ABSTRACT: The study cases includes back of the book index of published microbiology Persian books in different years in the centrsal library of Islamic Azad University, Lahijan branch. The purpose of this study is to investigate the evaluative final back of the book index in the subject of microbiology, in the central library of Islamic Azad University, Lahijanbranch.ISO 999 International standard evaluation criteria for back of the book index, including 17 factors which is prepared from these factors and the data were collected. Spss software was for analyzing the statistical data. Among all topics in the mentioned study, the number of books including backof book index are 24.34% . Alphabetical order compliance and place have 100% the most frequency and primary note, entry structure of 3 level, 4 level, kind of preparation of translation and note range have 0.00 % the least frequency. The research hypothesis based on research findings and the use of statistical analysis are confirmed. That is to says the microbiology books including back of the book index. Havenʹt adhered more than 80% of mentioned criteria.
