The influence of damping and parameter uncertainty on seismic secondary response spectra: a random vibration approach Original Research Article

A random vibration formulation is used to examine the frequency dependence of the relationship between damping and response in single-degree-of-freedom systems. This is then extended to secondary systems and the possibility of non-conservative approaches to design including the effect of parameter uncertainty.
