Abstract
Microsatellite markers are one of the most efficient markers as they have high polymorphism levels, are reproducible, codominant with their chromosomal location known so they can be used for genotypic characterization, classification, and genetic distance of individuals. Therefore, in order to evaluation of genetic distance and grouping of thirty wheat cultivars we used seven ISSR markers. Seven ISSR primers yielded 60 bands that 86.67% were polymorphic. The mean of heterozygosity was different among the produced allels, varying from 0.499 to 0.033. The highest genetic distance (0.657, 0.655, 0.61 and 0.643) was observed between genotypes C-83-3/C-89-1, C-84-4/C-89-3, C-83-1/C-88-5, and C-83-4/C-83-2. Genotypes with suitable genetic distance have potential for selection as parents for breeding programs. Cluster analysis by the complete linkage method based on the Dice similarity coefficient assigned the studied lines into four main groups. Generally 76.67% of total variance among data expressed by four principle component and there is good match between the result of cluster analysis and PCA for grouping of genotypes. So Classification of closely related cultivars could be effective by using ISSR marker.
