A new formulation of eight-node hexagonal solid element Original Research Article

A new formulation of the eight-node hexagonal solid element is suggested in this paper. Using the new formulation, the computing time required for the construction of an element stiffness matrix can be reduced and a new approach for constructing incompatible element models can be established as well.
