Torsional stress wave propagation in orthotropic bar of rectangular cross-section Original Research Article

In this paper, a torsional wave propagation problem of anisotropic medium is analyzed by using the method of numerical integration along bicharacteristics. The dynamic behavior of an orthotropic bar of rectangular cross-section due to an impact torque on the end surface of the bar is studied and the stability of the present method is investigated.
