Abstract
Inthispaper,anautomaticlocalizationalgorithmforestimatingtheimpactlocationbyloosepartsinaSteamGeneratorusingmodifiedtriangularmethodisproposedandappliedtotheimpacttestdataofYongGwangNuclearPowerPlantUnit3SteamGenerator.Thealgorithm,atfirst,wasdevelopedattheMock-upsystemandmodifiedtoapplyfortherealplant.TheSteamGeneratorismodeledasacylindershapeandthemodifiedmethodisusedtofindouttheimpactpointofaloosepartonthemodel.Theresultofestimatedimpactpointapplyingtothedevelopedalgorithmhasbelowabout5%averageerror.Ifthealgorithmwillbeinstalledintheexistingplantornextgenerationplant,thesafetyandreliabilityofNuclearPowerPlantwillbeimproved.
