Abstract
Leastsquaresproblemsoccurfrequentlyinnuclearscienceincludingtheparameteridentificationoflinear/nonlineardynamicmodels,modelingtheresponsesofthespatiallydistributeddetectors,nucleardatatreatment,responsesurfacemodelingofthethermalmarginestimation,etc.Consideringtheinevitablemeasurementnoiseandtransportkernelsimplification,theill-posednessoftheleastsquaresmethodcanariseandlimittheapplicabilityoftheassumedmodelstructures.Inthispaper,aconstructivemethodisproposedwiththeconstrainedquadraticprogrammingapproachtogetthephysicallymeaningfulsolution.Themethodisappliedtothedeterminationoftheparametervectorusedtoestimatetheaxially3-levelaveragecorepowerwithex-coredetectors.Thetestresultsshowtheremarkableimprovementinaccuracyandrobustnessforthenoisymeasurementdata.
