Abstract
Flow-inducedvibrationandstabilitiesoftheparallel-plateassembliesarestudiedtheoretically.Amodelofmulti-parallel-beamsjoinedwithsingle-beamisadoptedinthetheoreticalanalysisofthenaturalvibrationcharacteristicsoftheparallel-plateassemblies.Thefunctionsofthedry-modalmodeareusedastrialfunctionstosolvetheequationsofthecomplex-modalmodebythevariationalmethodforthenaturalfrequenciesandmodesofthewetmodal.Thecriticalflowvelocityanddestabilizingdeflectionaresolvedbythedirectmethodandthevariationalmethodforthestabilityoftheparallel-plateassembliesandtheresultsofthetwomethodsagreewitheachother.Thispaperdiscoverssomesystemicresultsfromtheoreticalandnumericalanalysis,whichoffersseveralusefulmethodsanddatatothedesignandsafeoperationforthefuelelementofnuclearreactors.
