  • Abstract
    We discuss the effect of the gluon dipole penguin operator in the amplitudes for nonleptonic hyperon decays. Making explicit use of chiral symmetry, we clarify the circumstances under which direct and tadpole contributions could cancel, leading to a suppressed contribution.
