Quark condensate in a medium and pion-nucleon sigma term based on a QCD-like theory

Within the renormalization group improved ladder approximation, the Schwinger-Dyson equation for quarks is applied to evaluate the pion-nucleon sigma term and the quark condensate at low densities. It is found that this approach presents fair results close to empirical values for these quantities in the light-quark sector as well as the strange sector.
