High pT photons in polarized deep inelastic scattering

Prompt hard photons have a number of interesting applications in polarized deep inelastic scattering. As an example, an azimuthal asymmetry is discussed in this letter, which might arise in the small-x region as a consequence of strong interaction phases in the scattering amplitudes. I will show that this is a very pronounced phenomenological effect which goes beyond the usual parton model assumptions.
