Abstract
The complexified gauging of the Poincaré group modified for a space-time with S3 × R topology uncovers a unified theory for the gravitational and electroweak interactions, respectively associated with the Lorentz rotations and the space-time translations. The standard spectrum for the electroweak gauge bosons is recovered with the correct mass assignments, in spite of the complete absence of a Higgs sector. New physics is predicted with gravity-induced electroweak processes and with novel-type of effects. New theoretical perspectives are briefly discussed.
