Frequency band requirement for a precision RMS measurement system based on successive extraction of the means of absolute values

This paper investigates the requirements for the gain and the frequency band of the components used in the implementation of a precision root mean square measurement system based on the method of successive extraction of the means of the absolute values. The analysis shows the feasibility of a system using this method at a level of accuracy of one part in 10^6 in the frequency range from 10 to 100 Hz.
