Projecting Zener DC reference performance between calibrations

Two simple empirical models are proposed to predict Zener reference standard output voltage and uncertainty based on just one or two calibration points. The models are derived from a study of 140 Zener standards. The results yield a substantial reduction in uncertainty relative to the manufacturerʹs specification and illustrate the dominant influence of seasonal effects on projection uncertainty.
