Abstract
A new imbedded variable-step procedure is developed for the numerical integration of the radial Schrödinger equation. The new imbedded method is based on P-stable methods of exponential order eight, ten, 12, and 14. Numerical results indicate that the new procedure is more efficient than similar variable-step procedures.
