An implicit-explicit domain decomposition algorithm for a singularly perturbed parabolic problem

This paper deals with an iterative algorithm for domain decomposition applied to solving of a singularly perturbed parabolic problem. This algorithm is based on an implicit scheme inside boundary layers and on an explicit scheme outside them, and suitable for parallel computing. Convergence properties of the algorithm are established, and numerical experiments are presented.
