Abstract
In this paper, we present a self-adaptive projection and contraction (SAPC) method for solving symmetric linear variational inequlitiaes. Preliminary numerical tests show that the proposed method is efficient and effective and depends only slightly on its initial parameter. The global convergence of the new method is also addressed.
