Abstract
We investigate a nonintegrable (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa equation by truncating the Painlevé expansion and performing computerized symbolic computation. We obtain a new auto-Bäcklund transformation and a new family of the exact solitonic solutions. Sample solutions of this family are presented.
