Optimization design of an axial-flow fan used for mining local-ventilation

A new calculation model for optimising the operating performance of a fan is carried out on the analysis of the energy transmission of airflow inside the fan. The corresponding designing method appropriate for the engineering applications is also proposed. A new type of the axial-flow fan, named YBT-4.01, used for local-ventilation in coal mining has been designed with the aid of computer. It is shown from both the lab test and field use that the performance of the fan designed is improved considerably compared with the old one.
