Generating knowledge and decision expertise using simulation

One of the major issues in the application of knowledge-based simulation systems is the acquisition of decision making knowledge and its integration in operations and control. The primary focus of this research is the use of computer simulation for generating knowledge for problems that are constrained by expert availability and knowledge acquisition. The paper presents a methodology for developing decision expertise using simulation for systems with multiple performance criteria.
