Abstract
Fuzzy logic is investigated as a resource allocation tool in a manufacturing environment. Comparison is drawn between random, largest queue, and fuzzy allocation techniques using a discrete event simulation model as a test platform. Results indicate a fuzzy controller to be a feasible alternative.
