Taking Care: An Informed Approach to Library Preservation

In order to be effective advocates for the care and long-term preservation of library collections, we must cultivate a stronger and more focused message regarding the role of preservation programs in a modern information environment. The preservation tools with which we must continue to work effectively are: environmental control, emergency preparedness and response, collections care and handling, conservation, commercial binding, and reformatting.
