Estimation of Time Dependent Parameters in General Parabolic Evolution Systems

In this paper we develop a convergence theory for estimating time dependent parameters in a general class of parabolic system. We apply this theory to several problems of interest, such as estimating transport and biodegradation parameters in a contaminant transport model and the stiffness coefficient in an Euler]Bernoulli beam equation.
