Non-linear Time Degenerate Parabolic Inequalities and Applications

Comparison theorems and corresponding maximum principles are derived for a class of non-linear time degenerate parabolic inequalities. Some of the results are applied to the problem of a thermal boundary layer, caused by the buoyancy induced flow through a porous media, saturated with pure or saline water at very low or normal temperatures.
