Criticism the method of examples selection in persian grammar books in conjunction and preposition parts

ABSTRACT: Explanation of grammatical points is one of the important elements in the interpretation of Persian literary texts. Among these grammatical points, kinds and meanings of prepositions and conjunctions are of great importance in understanding literary texts. To identify the kinds of conjunctions and prepositions should refer to the grammar books; however the kinds and meanings for each of these conjunctions and prepositions are very different in the grammar books. One of the reasons for the differences in these grammar books is difference of the references which are used for evidences selection. During the criticism of methods and references of some of the major Persian grammar books, this paper shows what are the reference books that the evidences has been selected from them and what is the contribution of each poet and litterateur in the evidences. The findings of this study indicate that the differences in methods and references has influential role in the kinds and meanings of the conjunctions and prepositions and confusing difference between the Persian grammar books.
